3-0 Uh Oh

I did. not. want. to. turn. 30. But it happened. And these two faces are what greeted me as they do every morning. I would gladly turn 30 a million times before I would want to go back to before these two little boys entered my life. I am so blessed to have them call me mommy. I thank my God for entrusting them to Joshua and me to raise. It is the hardest job I've ever had, but the most gratifying. They are the two sweetest boys I know. I wouldn't trade a minute. So, while the road trips, football games, all nighters, and crazy things I did in my twenties have been traded for preschool, doctor's appointments, diaper changes, baths, and storytime; I would not change a thing. I love my life!

Enjoy these videos of my little characters. :)
(These videos are not as good in quality as they used to be. Blogspot must have changed something.)

It's right around the corner...

Hudson's Birthday is "16 sleeps" away. I am usually DONE by now, but this year I have put it off. I think to avoid the fact that mine is before his! AHHHHH!!!!! Doing ALL I can not to think about that! Anyway, here is the front of the invitation for Hudson's birthday. My brother designed it, and I think he did a FANTASTIC job. He is at the Art Institute studying Media Game Art and Design, and is {as you can see} very good!!!! I was so excited to have a custom invite personalized for Hudson. Bring on the festivities!!!!

First Day of Preschool & 6 Month Pictures

Starting with a couple of pictures I took in the bathtub the other day. I love this one of the two of them because it captures the LOVE that Kendan feels towards Hudson. Anytime Hudson is around that is what Kendan is doing...I love those two boys!

I love this one too. My happy boy. This is him not yet on medicine for an ear infection and strep throat. I had NO idea he was sick other than his runny nose. He is such a truly sweet child. He is so gentle and precious. You have no idea. My cup runneth over.

First day of Preschool in Ms. Tammy and Ms. Jami's class was a great one! He had a great time, and told me all about playing in centers, story time, snack, playing on the playground, and all the fun he had. I love that I didn't even have to worry about him one time while I was gone. I love that he's going here. I am praying that God will make it as clear to me where he should go to Kindergarten when we get to that point.

Here are some of Kendan's pictures. He is 6 months old. He weighs 17 pounds {45%} and is 27 1/4 inches long {71%}. He takes 4-5 bottles a day with 6 ounces in each. He will take rice cereal in his bottle, but will not eat it by spoon. He is eating green beans. That is the first food we have started him on, and he LOVES them! He does really well with them...he had me worried with all the gagging he did with the rice cereal, but he does really well with the green beans. He is rolling all over the place. He can sit up balancing himself forward, but will get excited and throw himself backwards so I don't let him sit up unless I'm sitting behind him. He is jabbering and screeching all the time. Hudson and him go back and forth screeching/screaming. He loves his big brother more than anything, and laughs out loud at Hudson daily! He gets so excited to see him every morning, and the feeling is mutual. Hudson asked me this morning to please wake Kendan up because he missed him. :)

Enjoy my baby's pictures. Love this age. It's so fun!

too much goin on

It has been a little while since I put some pictures up, and to be honest I haven't taken that many lately. :( We have all been sick the last couple of weeks, and I haven't done much because of that. My kids never acted like they felt badly, but I felt like I'd been run over. I finally took them to the doctor when I noticed Hudson's eye showing signs of pink eye. Turns out Hudson had pink eye and Strep throat and Kendan had an ear infection and probably strep throat (they didn't swab him because he was getting the antibiotics anyway for the ear infection so strep would clear up too). I, however, had a negative strep test...go figure! My doctor did go ahead and put me on medicine though since I had been exposed to it and my throat was hurting so badly. THANK YOU!
....
We are all feeling much better now, and no longer contagious so back to the fun stuff in life. Kendan turned 6 months old at the beginning of this month. We are getting his professional pictures taken on Tuesday. I will be sending out pictures soon...promise.
...
Hudson starts preschool this Tuesday {lots of pictures coming Tuesday} at our church, Burnt Hickory Baptist Church. I am SO very excited about this for him, and Josh and I have even talked about letting him go to BHBC next year instead of public Pre-K. His class this year is 12 students and there is a teacher and an assistant teacher. :) They go from 9-1 Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays and he gets to take his lunch to school. We have met his teachers, and they were super sweet! Hudson is so social that I know he's going to love it! He told me today that he really loves school (thinking back to the YMCA), but that he really didn't love naps. ha ha I told him he wouldn't take a nap this year at his new school. He was very pleased.

Kendan's 1st foods. Green beans.

He LOVED them!

My funny boy. He got these glasses at Wendy's, and he loves wearing them to "read" since Grandmama has to put on her glasses to read. :) Facebook friends suggested a Drew Carey resemblence...I see it...thank goodness the glasses are just for fun though. :)

The final decision for school: what lunchbox to buy. There was no room for debate once he spotted the Mystery Machine! He LOVES Scooby-Doo.

And lastly, my new haircut. :) It had been a long time since I'd done something drastic with my hair. I am loving it.
