Future Olympian

I guess the Olympics inspired us all, big and small. I joined the gym after weeks of watching the extremely in shape athletes perform, some of which were much older than me! So, no chalking it up to youth. :) It must have also inspired Hudson! The first clip is of Hudson watching the diving event. Everytime one of the divers completed a dive he would begin clapping. So cute! Then today, weeks after the Olympics have ended he decided he wanted his turn on the podium. :) He made himself a podium, and jumped up on it. Josh and I were not paying attention and all of a sudden we realized he was standing on the podium chanting U-S-A, U-S-A. We had done that during the Olympics when we would watch them on TV. I would get him to chant with me, but that was WEEKS ago. :) What a little sponge.

Hudson Funnies

Here are a few short stories of Hudson that are funny.  At least to us they are funny.  I hope you enjoy them.  It's so amazing to see the person he is becoming!

This was just so funny to me.  The other night, I was trying to get Hudson to bed, and I asked him to close his eyes.  He squeezed them closed really tight.  Tapped his thumb in between his eyes and said, "Dark in thur."  ("dark in there" for those of you who don't speak southern)  It cracked me up.  He is so funny to us!

We are beginning to potty train.  He is HIGHLY motivated by M&M's which are any sweet candy I have at the time; lately it's been jelly beans.  But he calls them M&M's.  So, he will tell me he has to go potty.  He will sit on the potty, and if ANY pee comes out he says, "GOOOOOOOD" in a high pitched voice.  I guess because I said it so much the first time he went on the potty.  The candy will sometimes make him "have" to go back to back to back times, but he expects M&M's if he is successful.  So funny.

I was checking my email one night and Josh was playing with Hudson on the bed.  Hudson started saying "Mommy" and I wasn't paying attention.  After repeatedly calling my name with no response from me he finally yelled "MOMMY KAI WALL"  Hahahahahaha  So funny.  I know it's cliche, but when he's in trouble I  pull a "HUDSON KAI WALL"  I guess he thought that was my name too.  :)

He's so funny.  He keeps us laughing, and on our toes.  We couldn't imagine life without him!  I've been slack about updating this recently, but I'm going to try to do better.
XOXO

Hudson's 2nd Birthday!!!!

We had a carnival for Hudson's 2nd Birthday this year. It was so fun, and I couldn't have done it without a lot of help from our sweet family and dear friends! Hudson had a blast, and we had a great time playing on the midway!

These are Hudson's 2 year pictures. We got them made at Portrait Innovations. They did a FABULOUS job with him! I am SOOOO in love! This kid rocks my world. I can't believe he is two! He is so fun, and he is so funny!
